From the moment the doors opened at the first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia, PA, the McDonald’s System including owner/operators, suppliers, employees and customers, have called our mission their own. For 40 years, our local Owner/Operators in Kansas have opened their hearts to us, providing invaluable support and fueling our growth serving more than 1,700 children and families annually.
Local McDonald’s Support
Today we are stronger than ever due in large part to the continued outpouring resources from our local McDonald’s Owner/Operators
Their unwavering support, from monetary and sponsorship contributions to volunteerism; from board participation to our events, and committee participation, has helped impact countless lives by giving children support, stability and the best medicine of all – their families.
Although the McDonald’s system is our largest corporate partner, RMHC Wichita is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation and no one company solely funds the growth of RMHC programs and services necessary to serve more families. We also rely on the support of the entire community and greatly value all donations to RMHC Wichita, whether it’s through time, talent or treasure.
One of the simplest yet most impactful ways this partnership comes to life is through the Round-Up program, where customers are invited to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar, with the extra change donated directly to RMHC. These small contributions add up quickly, helping provide families with a comfortable place to stay, warm meals, and a sense of normalcy during difficult times. Through this ongoing collaboration, McDonald’s customers and restaurants play a vital role in keeping families close when it matters most.
